What we collect

  • Enquiry details you submit: name, phone number, email address, postcode, the door type you are interested in, your timeframe and anything you write in the message field.
  • Live chat messages and any contact details you give in chat.
  • Analytics data: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.

Why we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry, arrange a survey and provide a quotation. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
  • To keep records of quotations and work carried out. Lawful basis: legitimate interests and, where a contract is agreed, performance of that contract.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

We use third-party processors to run the website: a form-handling service to deliver enquiries to our inbox, a live chat provider, an analytics provider and our hosting provider. They process data on our instructions only. We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become orders are kept for 24 months. Records relating to completed work are kept for six years to meet legal and accounting obligations.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to your data, ask for it to be corrected or erased, object to or restrict processing, and request portability. Email sales@timberdoorcompany.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
